Eligibility and Requirements

  1. Applicants must have completed 12 years or more of education in their home country or abroad.
  2. Applicants must have studied Japanese language more than 150 hours, and have attained a Japanese level equivalent to at least the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 ( JLPT N5 ), the J.TEST FQ, or the NAT-TEST 5Q.
  3. Applicants must be financially able to cover the expenses of living and studying in Japan. Applicants will be required to provide evidence in the form of assets documents such as bankbook copies.

Where to Apply

1. Application in Person at AMA Japan College

Applicant must bring his or her passport and screening fee with the submitted documents.

2. Application by an Agent

The agent must bring the submitted documents and the screening fee. In principle, the agent who is accepted is the sponsor. If you are applying for another person, please bring a letter of attorney from the applicant or the sponsor.

3. Application by mail

Applicant must submit application documents by mail.
Initially, only submit preliminary documents to our school for review.
Applicants who pass the preliminary review, we will ask you to submit the full set of application documents.

4. Application thru an Affiliated Office of AMA Japan College

Applicant must take screening exams and interviews at our partner office. Those who have passed the screening at our school affiliated office will be accepted.

 

The Application Procedure Steps

The steps from obtaining a Japanese “Student Visa” to Enrollment.
( Obtaining a visa to Japan may takes 4 to 5 months, from the day you apply for it ! )

 

Step 1Applicant submits application documents and pays admission screening fee
Step 2Document selection, pass / fail decision by the school
Step 3Examination by Immigration Bureau to obtain a “Certificate of Eligibility”
Step 4Announcement by the Immigration Bureau’s of examination results. A “Certificate of Eligibility” will be issued, and the school will issue an invoice.
Step 5Payment of tuition (After confirming payment, we will send you an “Certificate of Eligibility” and an “Entrance Permit”)
Step 6Apply for a visa at a Japanese embassy or consulate. Report information about your flight plan to Japan.
Step 7Arrival in Japan (At the time of entry into the country, you will receive a residence card at the airport and apply for permission for “non-qualified” activities)
Step 8Placement Test, Orientation, Enrollment

What is a Certificate of Eligibility?
 Certificate issued by the Immigration Bureau of Japan. Required to apply for a “Student” visa. Applicants must submit this certificate to their Japanese embassy / consulate in their home country, along with an admission letter, and receive a “College Student” visa.

 

 

Specialty Japanese Language Courses
For Residents of Japan

These courses are for Non-Japanese who are living in Japan. However the various courses are each specifically targeted for work-related language skills, or to pass a language qualification test such as the JLPT.

Business Course
This course is for those who work in a Japanese company or a Japanese company overseas, or who are looking for a job in the future. We will practice Japanese, how to write a resume, and practice interviews in actual business situations. Invite a local Amagasaki company You will learn about the customs needed to work in Japan and the culture that is different for each industry.
Information Technology (IT) Business Course
This course is for those who are looking for a job at an IT company and/or wish to upgrade their IT skills. Active engineers and professional instructors customize what they teach to match the level each student. If desired, introductions to jobs can also be made for students of this course.
Training Course for Non-Japanese Workers in Japan
This course provides Japanese language training for Technical Intern Trainees and other Non-Japanese employees. The curriculum will be chosen according to the needs of the students and the relevant industry or company where they seek employment. On-site classes at the employer’s location can also be arranged.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test Preparation Courses
Exam preparation courses for the JLPT examination, the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test, and other specific skill examinations.
Daily Life Japanese Course
Courses for permanent residents, permanent residents, and families who want to learn Japanese necessary for living such as shopping or going to a bank is. Private lessons are also available depending on schedule and time.
